🍷 An iconic red from Sicily

Nero d’Avola is Sicily’s iconic red grape variety. Native to the island, it is renowned for producing generous, structured and intensely fruity wines.

With Terre di Kama, this grape variety expresses all the richness of the Sicilian terroir in a wine that is structured, supple and easy to enjoy.

🌿 Terroir

The grapes are grown on the hillsides of the Trapani region in western Sicily, using the traditional Spalliera training system.

This sunny terroir offers Nero d’Avola ideal conditions for developing beautiful aromatic concentration while retaining pleasant freshness.

🍇 Winemaking

After destemming, the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, never exceeding 28°C, with frequent pump-overs at the beginning of fermentation.

This method allows the colour, aromas and structure to be extracted harmoniously while preserving the softness of the tannins.

After fermentation, the wine is racked and then naturally continues its transformation through malolactic fermentation, which contributes to its supple and balanced character.

👃 Tasting notes

Terre di Kama Nero d’Avola has a beautiful structure, accompanied by supple tannins that make it particularly approachable.

The nose and palate are dominated by generous notes of red fruit and forest berries, with a fruity and appealing expression.

A balanced, round and easy-drinking red that charms with its fruity character and beautiful length.

🍽️ Food pairings

It will pair perfectly with:

🥩 red meat
🍝 pasta with tomato-based sauces
🍕 generous Italian dishes
🧀 aged cheeses

An authentic Sicilian Nero d’Avola—fruity and supple—ideal for discovering all the charm of Sicily’s red wines.
